Encounter Kaikoura is the perfect location for your team building activity, a.g.m or training event. The purpose built conference facility has uninterrupted views of the Pacific Ocean and Kaikoura Seaward Mountains which ensure you return home feeling energised, inspired and relaxed.
The Encounter Kaikoura purpose built conference facility was completed in 2004 and offers a fully equipped conference room, on-site cafe, art gallery and retail store. All of the facilities are fully air conditioned and heated for your comfort and our friendly staff are available to assist with any demand you may have on the day.
Catering
On and off site catering can be organised ranging from hot and cold buffets and set menus, to finger food and fresh baking. View our menus for an indication of the options available at Cafe Encounter, or personalised menus are available by prior arrangement. We also offer an evening dining service for groups, contact us for further information or to make a reservation.

Location
Kaikoura is located on the east coast of the South Island between Picton and Christchurch. Travel time to drive from Christchurch is two and a half hours and from Picton to Kaikoura is two hours. There are various transport options available including rail, road and plane.
Encounter Kaikoura is located at 96 Esplanade and has abundant off-street car parking with adjacent accommodation.
